SRH vs RCB Match Highlights: Sunrisers Hyderabad Win the Title
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 8 runs in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.
SRH won the toss and elected to bat first. David Warner (69) and Shikhar Dhawan (28) gave SRH a solid start, adding 92 runs for the first wicket. Yuvraj Singh (29) and Ben Cutting (39*) also chipped in with valuable contributions as SRH posted a challenging total of 208/7 in their 20 overs.
In response, RCB got off to a flying start with Chris Gayle (76) and Virat Kohli (54) adding 114 runs for the first wicket. However, SRH bowlers pulled things back in the middle overs, picking up regular wickets. RCB eventually fell short by 8 runs, finishing on 200/7 in their 20 overs.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the SRH bowlers, claiming 3 wickets for 25 runs. Ben Cutting and Mustafizur Rahman also picked up 2 wickets each.
With this victory, SRH won their first IPL title, while RCB remained winless in the tournament.
