Interview with Stellantis CEO, Carlos Tavares
In an interview published in Les Echos and other international newspapers, Stellantis - Chrysler Citroën Fiat Automobiles CEO, Carlos Tavares, expressed concerns about the social risks posed by the rapid transition to electric vehicles.
Tavares argued that there were more cost-effective and environmentally friendly solutions available than electric vehicles. He also highlighted the threat posed by Chinese automakers, who have benefited from Europe's focus on electric cars.
The interview was conducted on the one-year anniversary of the merger between PSA and Fiat Chrysler, which created Stellantis. The company is now the world's fourth-largest automaker.
