Easy-to-Follow Video Tutorial and Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Verify Programming Mode Accessibility

Before you order a new key fob, ensure that you can enter the programming mode. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position. Do not start the engine. Wait for all dashboard lights to turn off (approximately 30 seconds) and proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Open and Close the Driver Door

Open the driver's door and close it again. Leave the key in the ignition and in the "ON" position.

Step 3: Insert and Remove the Key 5 Times

Insert the key into the ignition and remove it within 5 seconds. Then, insert the key again and remove it. Repeat this process five times within 10 seconds.

Step 4: Turn the Ignition Back On

Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position again and leave it there for 10 seconds.

Step 5: Lock and Unlock the Vehicle

Lock the vehicle by holding down the lock button on the driver's door for at least 2 seconds. Then, unlock the vehicle by holding down the unlock button for at least 2 seconds.

Step 6: Program the Key Fob

Within 30 seconds of unlocking the vehicle, press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob simultaneously. Hold the buttons for 10 seconds. The lights on the dashboard will flash to confirm successful programming.

Step 7: Repeat for Additional Fobs

If you have more than one key fob to program, repeat steps 6 for each additional fob within 30 seconds of programming the previous one.
